Survival of the Child and their Treatment

Nearly 1.73 million children die in India every year due to lack of treatment. Abhilasha Foundation works with the children from the most marginalized, economically deprived families to support them in their treatment of critical surgeries. The parents usually do not have a huge amount of money to spend on the treatment of such surgeries. The organization sponsors treatment of these underprivileged children and helps them to get back to their normal lives.

Child survival is a field of public health concern with reducing child mortality. Child survival interventions are designed to address the most common causes of child deaths that occur diarrhea, malaria and neonatal conditions. Many countries are devoted to the child survival interventions as a way of reducing the child mortality. Every year nearly 10 million children under age five die, mostly from preventable and treatable diseases.

Health Awareness Programmes

Abhilasha Foundation organizes awareness programs on health and personal hygiene for the slum community and for underprivileged children for spreading awareness in the schools and slums on various health issues.

Nutritional Support

Many families come from weaker sections who need nutritional support especially children who are admitted in government hospitals and whose parents cannot afford food and find it very difficult to take care of their children. Abhilasha Foundation voluntarily supports to these underprivileged children by providing them nutritional kits.

Financial Support for Critical Surgeries

Abhilasha Foundation Collaborates/Networks with renowned hospitals such as (P.D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Kokilabhen Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute, SevenHills Health City, B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, Sir Hurkisondas Nurrotumdas Hospital & Research Centre, Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Balaji Hospital, Wockhardt Hospitals, K.E.M Hospital, Appllo Children’s Hospital Chennai etc.

Abhilasha Foundation receives medical cases from various children’s hospital for their critical major surgeries. Abhilasha Foundation provides financial support for the patients who cannot afford any critical operations/critical illness/ support in medicines and help them to buy generic medicines.
